'Memory and the Brain: Using, Losing, and Improving' a Book Review by Brenda Walker
25th February 2025
The University of Leicester is offering three competitive PhD Studentships in Neuroscience, Psychology and Behaviour under its College of Life Sciences (CLS) Studentship Scheme 2018.
One studentship is available in the research group of Professor Mukaetova-Ladinska, on ‘Tubulin and tau protein changes in ischaemic brain injury: implications for vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s disease’.
A further two Studentships are available for a wide range of PhD projects, including many that are strongly interdisciplinary in scope and methodology. A list of available project titles is included below. Full project descriptions and supervisor contact details can be downloaded at:
The scheme is open to UK and EU applicants only. Studentships are awarded competitively based on the strength of the applications and provide Tuition Fees and a Stipend at Research Council UK levels for three years. Successful applicants will join the vibrant multidisciplinary research community at the Department of Neuroscience, Psychology and Behaviour (NPB; https://www2.le.ac.uk/departments/npb/research), and the University’s Doctoral College (https://www2.le.ac.uk/departments/gradschool).
Applicants are encouraged to contact prospective supervisors by email or phone to discuss the project and their interests prior to submitting a formal application. We are unable to consider applications submitted by email. Applications must be submitted through the University of Leicester online application web site, following the guidance provided at:
