Job Details

Innovia Technology is an Innovation Consultancy that specialises in early stage innovation working with some of the world’s best companies. We help companies to define their innovation strategy, solve complex innovation problems and create successful products and services. Our approach is ‘holistic’ – we bring together a diverse range of capabilities to gain new insights and solve complex innovation problems. This means that our behavioural scientists work in multidisciplinary teams with people whose background may be in chemistry, physics, neuroscience, engineering, pharmacology, industrial design, veterinary science or biology.

Working at Innovia is a truly unique experience. We get to apply psychological theory and evidence to real-life problems for a variety of clients across many different sectors including healthcare, food and beverage and luxury retail.

We have worked on a diverse range of projects such as improving adherence to over-the-counter medicines, understanding the social psychology of ageing and how this relates to usage of skincare, developing and evaluating interventions to reduce drink-driving, and re-designing retail experiences for luxury brands.

We pride ourselves on taking a structured, evidence-based approach to solving complex problems. Our team is made up of a variety of individuals with backgrounds and expertise in many different areas of behavioural science including (but not limited to) social psychology, health psychology, human-computer interaction, cognitive neuroscience, branding and advertising, and behavioural design. What unites us is our passion and enthusiasm for understanding more about the complexities of human behaviour.

You will work as a key member of multidisciplinary teams to create compelling new product and service concepts and help develop our strong behavioural science team.

It would be an advantage if you have experience in any of the following areas: food, health, sustainability, business & commerce, finance, human-computer interaction.

You will be looking for a varied role that allows you to apply your wealth of knowledge and experience to solve complex, real world problems. We do not expect you to have had a similar consultant role before, but it is important that you want to become a consultant and are able to work within constraints of business and commerce.

  • conducting systematic and rapid reviews of psychology literature without supervision
  • leading interviews or moderating (desirable)
  • engaging stakeholders through workshops, training and consensus-building approaches (desirable)
