The UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology (SQ ION) has a significant teaching and training portfolio, with over 500 graduate students at Queen Square. Excellent graduate students of the highest quality are recruited to the QS ION.
The Education Team based within ION Head Office is a dedicated section responsible for all areas of student administration, which consists of administrators, academics, and clinical academics with an interest in teaching. We promote best practice in the design and delivery of teaching and research supervision on site, in line with UCL policies and procedures.
The team manages a portfolio of Taught Undergraduate and Graduate Courses (~40 UG, ~250 PGT and ~250 PGR students) and provides administrative, pastoral, and academic support to research students registered at ION.
They are seeking a Lecturer in Neuroscience to organise the weekly Human Neuroscience seminar series that runs in parallel to the taught modules, for all three years of the programme. In addition, you will deliver lectures and tutorials, set and mark assessments.
The role is available from January 2024.

With a PhD in neuroscience or cognate discipline, you will have teaching experience alongside a proven record of providing pastoral care for students and developing Moodle sites.
Motivated by the subject matter and by providing the best experience for our students, you will be committed to high-quality research-based teaching. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role.
