Announcing the launch of the MRes in Neurogenetics, with admissions now open for academic year 2025-26!
This MRes provides the opportunity to gain specialised training in neurogenetics and complete a 10-month interdisciplinary research project with leading research groups affiliated to the University of Birmingham's Centre for Neurogenetics.
The Centre's research spans all aspects of Neurogenetics, including invertebrate (Drosophila), mammalian model systems and human studies,. We use classical and cutting-edge gene editing and functional analysis technologies to investigate genetic, molecular, cellular and neural circuit mechanisms of nervous system structure and function. Projects aim to investigate how the brain works, from genes, to cells and behaviour.
This programme is an ideal step for those interested in pursuing a PhD degree in the neurosciences, or wishing to work in the industrial neuroscience space.
