We are seeking to recruit a Research Assistant to work within a research programme collaboratively led by Professors Webber and Li in the recently opened UK Dementia Research Institute (DRI) at Cardiff University. The candidate will assist on a project to generate, culture and differentiate human iPS cells to model Parkinson’s disease. Duties will include performing several molecular biology techniques, genetic manipulation and culture of human iPSCs and their neural differentiation. Applicants should have previous laboratory experience, as well as a degree in biological science or another relevant discipline.
This post is full time (35 hours per week), available immediately and is fixed term for 3 years.
Salary: £27,025 - £31,302 per annum (Grade 5)
