We seek to appoint a Research Assistant/Associate to contribute/to make a leading contribution to a project studying cortical neural plasticity after peripheral nerve injury, using electrophysiology and high-resolution fMRI in rodents, working with Professor John Riddell.

The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.

We welcome applications from candidates with specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of one or more of the following: electrophysiology, fMRI, and animal models of peripheral nerve injury.

Candidates should be qualified to SCQF Level 10 (Honours degree) for Grade 6 and Level 12 (PhD) for Grade 7 in a relevant subject or a cognate discipline or equivalent.

This post is full-time and funded for up to 15 months with a possible extension of 3 months and a proposed start date of 1 August 2023.
