Abstract submission is open for the 5th RNA Metabolism in Neurological Disease Conference which will take place November 1-2, 2018 as a satellite to the 2018 meeting of SfN in San Diego, USA.

The conference will bring together basic and clinical scientists to discuss the role of perturbed RNA metabolism in neurological diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), fragile X syndrome and other repeat expansion disorders.

Abstracts are invited by May 1st 2018 for short talks and poster presentations to supplement the invited oral program on the following topics:

• RNA binding proteins in the pathogenesis of neurological diseases
• C9ORF72 repeat expansion in neurological disorders
• Unconventional translation in repeat expansion diseases
• RNA granules and axonal transport
• Cellular and animal models of RNA defects
• Emerging therapeutic approaches
