Harnessing the potential of ‘Big Data’ and advances in basic science have seen medical knowledge advance rapidly in the last decade with significant progress being made in understanding the factors that underpin pathophysiology of important debilitating and devastating diseases.
This progress is beginning to change the way we diagnose and classify disease and offer treatment that is tailored to the individual, not only because society faces the challenges of an ageing and potentially more frail population, but also as we aspire to explore more extreme environments including Space.
The symposium will feature a scientific poster programme.
This exciting programme will be of interest to a range of clinicians and scientists.
