Processing and Modulation of Sensory Signals: From the Periphery to the Cortex

External Event - 15th to 16th Mar 2021

This meeting is designed to help foster new connections and cross-pollinate ideas between researchers studying sensory systems in different modalities and at different levels from peripheral transduction to cortical integration.

This is a joint meeting of The Physiological Society and the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre.

The programme will focus on the following topics: Peripheral and Brainstem Processing, Thalamic and Cortical Processing, Sensation, Location and Action, Modulation of the Senses and a keynote lecture about 'Discovery of an interoceptive sensory system in the vertebrate spinal cord'.Moreover, there will be a quick session where individuals will present their research.
