Consciousness remains one of the least understood areas of Science. We all live with it but, what is it? The question can be approached from two directions. Neuroscience takes a bottom-up "how does it work" approach while Philosphy tackles the problem from a top-down "what does it mean" direction. When we asked Mike to talk about Consciousness he was hesitant. There is no simple answer. But he agreed to present both sides of the arguement so you can make up your own mind!
