The Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting is a forum for international networking and discussion of hydrocephalus and spina bifida. The aim of the meetings is to encourage members, including junior professionals, to present their latest research results. The meeting has an exciting provisional programme, with national and international keynote speakers presenting talks covering a wide range of topics related hydrocephalus, spina bifida, neural tube defects, cerebrospinal fluid dynamics and pathways, together with glymphatics.

- Waite Hydrocephalus Research Student Bursary 2024 - Through the generosity and support of the Waite family to SRHSB, this award will offer support to students undertaking research projects in the areas of hydrocephalus and/or spina bifida, expected to be conducted over the summer vacation period. https://srhsb.com/waite-hydrocephalus-research-student-bursary/
- SRHSB/Integra Graduate Travelling Fellowship Program - Through the generosity of an Integra Educational grant, this award will support travelling fellowships for young graduate scientists, both basic and clinical, to visit international centres of research excellence in the broad field of CSF function, hydrocephalus, and neural tube defects. https://srhsb.com/integra-graduate-travelling-fellowship-program/
- The Norman Guthkelch Award - is an award for a student in training or an early career investigator who is conducting research in the area of hydrocephalus and neural tube defects including spina bifida. https://srhsb.com/guthkelch-award/

The Society for Research are also extremely pleased to announce the following prizes which will be presented at the conference: Best Basic Science, Best Clinical Science, Best Poster and the SRHSB President’s Prize.
