Organised by Sense about Science at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine, Barcelona the ‘Standing up for Science’ EU workshop will be held on Friday 30 November. Find out how to make your voice heard in public debates about science and evidence.
Meet researchers who have engaged with the media and with policy. Learn from policymakers about why good evidence is important for them and how researchers can help inform policy. Respected science journalists will talk about how the media works, how to respond and comment, and what journalists expect from scientists and researchers. Get hints and tips on how you can start standing up for science and find out how to involve the public in communicating research.
This full day event will be held from 9.30am – 5.00pm on Friday 30 November and applications close on 29th October. It is FREE for STEM and social science early career researchers, trainees and medical professionals.
