If you can’t trust your memory what can you trust?
Martin has a problem, he can’t make new memories. Since he went to the dentist ten years ago, every morning when he wakes up it’s 2008. He’s a cabbie with The Knowledge, but he doesn’t know what he had for breakfast.
Inspired by a true story, Timeless spends a single day in Martin’s bewildering world. It’s strange and unsettling for him, but his wife has the daily heartbreak of explaining just what’s wrong. And the strain is beginning to show.
A single-hander, written by Brian Coyle (“his writing is intelligent, thought-provoking and human” – The Upcoming) directed by Charlotte Peters (“excellent direction” – London Theatre One) and performed by John Rayment (“wonderfully acted” – London Theatre One), Timeless is a moving, sometimes funny and searching account of how his condition affects the whole family.
Do our memories define us? What if we lose them? And how reliable are they anyway?
