Call for the 2021 Joseph Altman Award in Developmental Neuroscience

The Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS) has announced the call for nominations for the 5th (2021) Joseph Altman Award.

The Award was established with a fund donated to the JNS by Dr. Shirley A. Bayer, a widow and long-term collaborator of late Dr. Joseph Altman. Dr. Joseph Altman, who discovered neurogenesis in the adult mammalian brain, received the International Prize for Biology from His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. Accordingly, the Award is to recognize up-and-coming researchers who have made remarkable achievements in the field of developmental neuroscience.

They will accept applications from all over the world. 

Application deadline is on January 31st, 2021
