The British Neuroscience Association (BNA) is delighted and proud to announce we have endorsed the ALBA Declaration on Equity and Inclusion that is launching today, 12th January 2021.
BNA Chief Executive, Dr Anne Cooke commented: “Becoming a signatory to the ALBA Declaration on Equity and Inclusion highlights our on-going and meaningful commitment to making the BNA, and neuroscience in general, more equitable and inclusive.
“Creating a healthy workplace culture, ensuring diversity can thrive, and raising awareness around inclusivity is vital to the strength and progress of our neuroscience community and we’re proud to play our part in driving significant change in people's lives and society.”

As part of the BNA's on-going commitment to equality, inclusivity and diversity, we have also recently launched a brand new BNA Scholars programme, created in consultation with BNA members and others interested in improving representation, diversity and equity in neuroscience. The programme will support students from currently under-represented ethnic groups in neuroscience and build a supportive community through networking opportunities, bursaries and mentorship. Find out how to apply to the programme here.
