Our position on the social media platform, X: Our commitment to promoting scientific integrity while expanding to new platforms

As the voice of neuroscience in the UK, the BNA is committed to promoting accurate, evidence-based information. While we have concerns about the rise of disinformation on X and the ethical values of the platform not fully aligning with those of the BNA, we believe it is important to remain on X to bring balance to scientific dialogue and continue advocating for the integrity of neuroscience.

We recognize that X continues to be an important platform for many scientists to share their research, engage in scientific dialogue, and connect with peers globally. As an organization dedicated to supporting the neuroscience community, we value these conversations and want to ensure that we remain an active part of this exchange. By staying on X, we aim to foster collaboration, support our members, and promote accurate and evidence-based discussions in the scientific field.

We are also building a presence on Bluesky, where we will be expanding our communications. We encourage you to follow us there as we broaden our efforts to engage with the neuroscience community and the public.
