The Psychiatry Consortium has come on board as a sponsor of a year-round programme of events and opportunities at the British Neuroscience Association (BNA), including the international BNA2021 Festival of Neuroscience on 12-15 April 2021.
We are delighted to announce that the Psychiatry Consortium will be supporting the BNA’s work in a year-round programme of support, with activities including webinars, printed publications, web-based and other communications to share our collaborative aims to highlight and advance neuroscience.
At a time when it's more important than ever to work together, this partnership of sponsorship and support enables the BNA to share key messages and provide learning opportunities and engagement with the neuroscience community.
Speaking about the Psychiatry Consortium’s support, BNA Chief Executive, Dr Anne Cooke said: “We’re incredibly excited to welcome the Psychiatry Consortium on board as a sponsor for a year-round programme of activities and opportunities, including our Festival of Neuroscience 2021.
“We’re always actively seeking ways to strengthen the links between psychiatry and neuroscience and this commitment of sponsorship ensures we can work more collaboratively together, as well as providing maximum value to the Psychiatry Consortium with a wealth of exciting opportunities.”
Dr Laura Ajram, Psychiatry Consortium Programme Manager, also commented: “This exciting alliance between the Psychiatry Consortium and the British Neuroscience Association harmonises our respective aims of cultivating innovation across the drug discovery landscape while sharing purposeful insights and expertise through our networks.
“We look forward to working closely with the BNA through this partnership, helping to forge closer ties between academia and industry and ultimately provide real impact for patients.”
About the Psychiatry Consortium
The Psychiatry Consortium is a strategic collaboration of leading medical research charities and pharmaceutical companies focusing on the challenge of identifying and validating novel drug targets to address the unmet therapeutic needs of the people living with mental health conditions. The Psychiatry Consortium is managed by Medicines Discovery Catapult and supported by Wellcome.
With the impact of the pandemic affecting physical gatherings, including BNA2021, the BNA has taken the opportunity to re-think and add value to its package for sponsors and supporters to be part of our activities throughout the whole year, and not just at meetings.
Currently, many organisations require more than just a virtual stand at an online meeting, as well as new ways to engage customers and the neuroscience community. In direct response, the BNA is excited to share a range of new opportunities that offer "More than the Festival".
