How should the UK assess higher education research performance? How would you like to change the way the next Research Excellence Framework works?
The British Neuroscience Association (BNA) is today launching a survey to consult the neuroscience community on the UK's research assessment system. This will help inform our response to the broader review being led by the four UK higher education bodies, the Future Research Assessment Programme, which will recommend changes to the current system.
As part of our policy work on the UK research environment, the BNA is working to ensure the UK has a fairer research assessment system – one that recognises the value of responsible research practices, full and open reporting, and efforts to ensure reproducibility of research. Changing the REF reflects the commitment in our Credibility in Neuroscience manifesto to ensure that the influences which drive research also drive the most credible research.
The survey should only take around 10 minutes to complete and respondents will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a £25 Amazon voucher.
The survey will close on 15 April.
